Testimonials & Case Studies

Rosi Prescott, Chief Executive, YMCA: 'I must add my congratulations here. I have overheard a number of people around the club (and of course in the changing room, where all real feedback is delivered) singing the praises of this programme'.

And a selection of comments from those who have attended recent seminars:

  • 'The seminars have improved my knowledge of nutrition & how I can make the most of it when I exercise, & beyond'.
  • 'This was fantastic - thank you so so much'.
  • 'Nick was very warm & welcoming, & answered all our questions. I learnt lots; I would definitely recommend the seminar to a friend'.
  • 'I wish I had attended the earlier ones - when are you running them again?'.

And a few case studies from recent clients:

01.08.2010 - Case Study 1: Mike

Mike (41) was keen to shift stomach fat which had accumulated over the last few years. Though office bound, he was reasonably active, walking 15 min to & from work daily & exercising in the gym for an hour 3 times per week. The fat though was continuing to accumulate slowly but surely.

09.11.2010 - Case Study 2: Melanie

Melanie (29) ate very little in the day, relying on supermarket packaged fruit, dried fruit, & low calorie 'ready meals' in the evening. She rarely exerecised as she did not think it necessary with her 'healthy' diet. Although her BMI was within the perceived healthy range, she lacked energy & muscle tone, describing areas such as her arms & stomach as loose & flabby.

26.11.2010 - Case Study 5: Jenny

Jenny (49) was uncomfortable with the way she looked in recent holiday photos. The pictures were the catalyst for addressing the extra pounds that had crept on in recent years. She was not expecting to regain the physique of her twenties, but did feel there was room for improvement.

26.11.2010 - Case Study 6: Peter

Peter (46) wanted to lean up around the waist, & gain greater muscle definition around the upper body. At the same time, he wanted to learn more about the type of eating regime that would complement his exercise routine and optimise his energy levels throughout the day.
